How It Works

1. Enter the quoted price and load size

   Enter the proposed customer price and a load-size bucket. The tonnage defaults are local placeholders; replace them with scale tickets, facility estimates, or field notes when available.

2. Enter the trip mileage

   Enter base-to-pickup, pickup-to-dump, and dump-to-base legs. The calculator sums total miles and uses a local 35 MPH average speed assumption unless you replace the route inputs.

3. Pick the vehicle type

   Vehicle choices load local MPG and wear placeholders for pickup-trailer, dump-trailer, box-truck, and roll-off scenarios. Replace them with your actual fuel-card, maintenance, tire, insurance, financing, and utilization records.

4. Enter on-site labor

   Enter on-site time, worker count, and labor rate. The calculator can include full trip time or on-site time only, but it does not verify payroll burden, overtime, worker classification, wage-hour rules, or workers compensation.

5. Enter disposal and item costs

   Enter tipping fee, tipping floor, mixed-load surcharge, and special-item charges from the current facility or disposal path. The app does not verify facility acceptance, hazardous items, prohibited materials, recycling, donation, or local waste rules.

6. Set risk and pricing targets

   No-show probability adjusts expected value. Cancellation fee, minimum charge floor, and target effective hourly rate are local business assumptions, not legal, accounting, market, or customer-contract approval.

7. Read local verdict and flags

   Verdict labels and flags are screening prompts based on entered assumptions. Use them to identify margin, drive-time, fuel, tipping, quote-floor, and no-show gaps before qualified business review.

Expected value = (1 - no_show%) x profit + no_show% x (cancel_fee_retained - partial_drive_cost). Use it as a prompt to review deposits, cancellation terms, collections, and customer agreement language.

Local Price-Floor Calculator

Computed as max(minimum_charge_floor, total_cost + target_hourly x total_time). It is a local planning row, not market pricing, customer acceptance, accounting advice, or a quote recommendation.

Cost and Risk Flags

Flags surface local drive-time, tipping-share, fuel-share, quote-floor, no-show, and zero-tonnage conditions. They are prompts to verify source gaps before booking work.

Job Waterfall Visual
