About ToolGrit
Practical tools. Rugged solutions. Built for results.
Why ToolGrit Exists
Trade professionals shouldn't have to dig through ad-heavy websites or create accounts just to run a quick calculation. ToolGrit was built to fix that.
Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. No calculation data is sent to a server. No account is needed. We use minimal, anonymized analytics to understand traffic - but your calculation data never leaves your device. You open the calculator, use it, and move on with your day.
What We Build
ToolGrit provides specialized calculators and tools across nine main areas:
- HVAC - Heat load estimators, efficiency calculators, system analyzers, and ROI tools
- Electrical - Wire sizing, load compatibility, generator sizing, and NEC-based calculations
- Industrial - Air compressor analysis, leak detection, and energy loss estimators
- Safety - Lockout/tagout permit management and compliance documentation
- Agriculture - Grain storage, drying cost, auger sizing, fertilizer blending, irrigation, PTO power, and fuel planning
- Productivity - Shift schedule generators, crew rotation visualizers, and business tools
- Municipal Water/Wastewater - Chemical dosing, detention time, CT values, pump energy, aeration, and lagoon sizing
- Emissions - Fuel combustion CO2, refrigerant leaks, boiler efficiency, Title V fees, and VOC calculations
- Shops & Outbuildings - Heater sizing, compressor selection, voltage drop, snow loads, and ventilation for workshops and outbuildings
Who It's For
ToolGrit is for anyone who works with their hands or their head - HVAC technicians, electricians, farmers, maintenance teams, plant engineers, shop owners, and homeowners who want real answers without the fluff.
Our Approach
Every calculator uses conservative, well-documented formulas. We'd rather give you a safe answer than an aggressive one. When a tool references industry standards (like NEC wire sizing), it follows the published tables and derating factors.
Tools are built with modern web technology (React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS) and hosted as standalone applications. This means they load fast, work offline after the first visit, and never break because of a WordPress update.
