Introduction
By using ToolGrit ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. The Site is owned and operated by Ben. These terms are effective as of February 28, 2026, and may be updated as described below.
What ToolGrit Is
ToolGrit provides engineering calculators and reference tools for informational and planning purposes. Results are calculated from standard formulas and publicly documented engineering methods, including references to NEC, OSHA, ASME, AWWA, API, and other published standards where applicable. ToolGrit is not a licensed engineering firm and does not provide professional engineering services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
All tools on this site are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. ToolGrit makes no warranty that calculator results are accurate, complete, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose. Formulas are based on published standards and general engineering practice, but individual project conditions vary. Tool outputs should be treated as a starting point for planning and estimation. All results must be verified independently before use in any safety-critical, purchasing, or design decision.
Limitation of Liability
ToolGrit, its owner, and any contributors are not liable for any damages, losses, injuries, or decisions made based on tool outputs. This includes direct damages, indirect damages, incidental damages, and consequential damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of ToolGrit for any claim related to the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to ToolGrit in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Nothing on this site constitutes professional engineering advice.
Many of the calculations on this site involve industry standards and codes, including but not limited to: NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA regulations, ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards, AWWA (American Water Works Association) standards, and API (American Petroleum Institute) standards. If you purchase Pro features or subscriptions, payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Prices are listed in US Dollars and are subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
